Start by turning your fishing reel over so that you’re facing its backside. You’ll see a lever directly below your handle, push it away from you. Then twist the spool counterclockwise until it comes loose from its post. Attach your new spool by sliding it onto your fishing reel in reverse order.
Put your thumb in front of where your hand would be holding onto the grip and unscrew it. Once you’ve removed the line guide, reassemble it with everything going in reverse order. This means first putting back on what was originally there, the spool, then the handle, and finally the handle cap.
To do this simply attach the line and finish by tying on an end-of-line knot or tie directly to your fishing rod if it’s too small for an end-of-line knot. Even if you’re not left-handed, make sure you attach your fishing reel in reverse so you can use it more easily with your other hand.
First, remove the existing line guide by taking off its mount screws. Then simply flip it over so that thread faces the opposite direction. Then place it back onto the frame using the same screws (ensure that the thread is facing away from the handle).
Remove the old handle by taking out any screws and just snapping it off. Make sure that you align all of your pieces together when installing the new handle, making sure that they are snug in place before tightening them down with either screws or pressure fittings.
